• Stop shaving/tweezing at least 2-3 weeks prior to appointment.

    • Exfoliate every other day; especially the day before your wax.

    • Stay hydrated and moisturize daily (although be sure to come to your appointment without product on the skin).

    • Take a shower before your wax to ensure there is no oil, sweat, or product residue that may interfere with the quality of your wax.

    • If you are concerned with discomfort, feel free to take an ibuprofen at least an hour before your appointment.

  • How frequently should I be getting waxed?

This varies depending of the area being waxed, your waxing frequency, and your hair growth. Here is a general guideline:

    • Face: Every 2–3 weeks

    • Eyebrows: Every 2 weeks

    • Underarms: Every 2–4 weeks

    • Bikini area: Every 2–4 weeks, unless you're getting a Brazilian, then every 3–4 weeks

    • Legs: Every 3–6 weeks

    • Back and chest: Every 4–6 weeks

  • If the hair is too short, the wax won't be able to adhere to it and pull it out from the root. Some hairs are generally too short and on different growth cycles in the beginning of your waxing journey. Waxing consistently will allow them to eventually regulate onto the same cycle.

  • Waxing more frequently and consistently allows the hairs to grow in thinner and patchier, making the experience easier over time. The first wax is typically the most uncomfortable but we promise it is so worth it!

  • Please do NOT shave in between your appointments! This will "reset" the progress you make with waxing as shaving will cause the hairs to grow in extremely coarse, as well as throw off the hair growth cycles. Additionally, this is not healthy for the skin. Lastly, it might make your Aesthetician cry. . . just kidding. . . sort of. . .

  • A hard, stripless wax that is designed for sensitive skin will be used. The wax will apply warm and will only grab on to hairs and lifeless, surface skin cells.

  • Please avoid excessive rubbing and sweating for the next two days following your wax! Your skin is the most sensitive and prone to ingrown hairs immediately following a wax; please avoid going directly to the beach or a workout right after your wax.

Exfoliate every other day and keep your skin moisturized to get the most out of your wax!
